What was set to be a bride’s most memorable day quickly turned deadly when the bride and groom got into a motorcycle accident involving a deer.

Jana-Miles Burnett and her husband, William Burnett of Buckner, Illinois had just gotten married when they both drove off in a motorcycle to the reception that was just three miles away. The tragedy occurred when on the way to the reception, her husband struck a deer that jumped in front of them and the bride was thrown from the motorcycle to her death while her husband was not seriously injured.

Jana worked as a Franklin County emergency dispatcher and the couple had only been dating for only a few months before marrying.
