Billboard Names Selena Greatest of All Time Latina Artist

Selena, the Queen of Tejano Music, has posthumously been named the Greatest Female Latin Artist by Billboard.

Anything for Selenas!

Earlier this month, Billboard released its music chart list of “Greatest of All Time Latin Artists,” showing Selena coming in third. Coming in at number 3 on the list illustrates that she is the only female in the top 5, with only one other female artist in the top 10, Shakira.

2. Luis Miguel
3. Selena
4. Marco Antonio Solis
5. Vicente Fernandez
6. Marc Anthony
7. Juan Gabriel

Honestly, this list is pretty spot-on for me. Maybe not in that order per se, but I can definitely attest to its listener ratio on my side of the world.

There was even more good news when the Selena Facebook page posted the following:

"Selena has been ranked by Billboard this month as the ! The chart is based on a formula combining all titles on both the weekly Hot Latin Songs chart and the Top Latin Albums tally. Selena is also recognized in two additional charts: with "No Me Queda Mas" at #13, "Fotos y Recuerdos" at #29, and "Amor Prohibido at #46. chart at #10. #billboards2020"

Selena fans have something else to look forward to when Selena: The Series premieres on Netflix beginning December 4, 2020.
