The Big El Paso Fair: Ways to Save on Admission and Rides

The Big El Paso Fair is coming to Ascarate Park starting March 31 and below are ways to save on gate admission and ride wristbands.

The traveling amusement show is nearly two weeks of state fair midway rides and attractions, and entertainment for kids of all ages.

Ascarate Park Makeover

The last time a fair of this size came to Ascarate Park was the Sun City Fair in 2016 and 2017. Fair organizers passed on returning in 2018 citing at the time the condition of the county park and what they said was the county's unwillingness to pave the area where the fair was usually set up.

But that shouldn't be a problem this year.

According to The Big El Paso Fair organizers, El Paso County Parks and Recreation added "new concrete areas and lots of heavy new sod/grass to add comfort and cut down on dusty air."

Among the family-friendly activities that will be taking place are magic shows, adrenaline-pumping motorcycle stunt shows, and a Foam Zone. All entertainment is free with your gate admission.

To make it more affordable for families to attend on at least one of the nights, discounted ticket pricing is available and there will be special promotional nights weekly.

50% gate admission ($7.50 per person) is on sale online through March 30 or at Walgreens from March 9 through the end of the fair.

Save on Ride Bracelet

Mega Passes for unlimited rides ($20 per wristband) can also be purchased online through March 30 or at Walgreens through the end of the fair.
