The race for the White House is heating up and this weekend you can get the chance to see one of the top candidates in person in El Paso.

Democratic presidential front-runner Bernie Sanders campaign announced that he will be in El Paso as part of a pair of weekend rallies in Texas. He will be in El Paso ahead of the Super Tuesday primary voting. The Sanders rally will be at the Abraham Chavez Theatre along Civic Center Plaza at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 22.

According to campaign officials the event will be free and open to the public. You won't need tickets but the seating will be on a first come, first served basis. The doors to the Abraham Chavez theater will open at 12:30 p.m., and you should expect a large crowd, so be ready to wait in line.

Sanders has opened up a lead in Texas and has a comfortable lead ahead of the rest of the Democratic field. Sanders will also be making a stop in San Antonio for an evening rally there after his rally here in El Paso.
