As the Go 10 project nears its end (yasss!) and crews put the finishing touches on the infrastructure reconstruction, frequent day long closures have become necessary.

Such is the case again this Sunday with a 27-hour shutdown required around the I-10/Mesa Street area. So, here's what you need to know: Beginning at 3 a.m. Sunday, April 7 until 6 a.m. Monday, April 8, I-10 Westbound will close completely at North Mesa Street. Additionally:

• North Desert Boulevard will close between North Mesa and Thorn Avenue
• North Mesa will close in both directions between South Desert Boulevard and Remcon/Bartlett.
• South Desert Boulevard will be restricted to right turns only at the intersection with North Mesa

If you're a visual creature and the sentence above might as well be in Greek, check out the informative illustrated map below.

Sure, it's going to be a pain in-the-you-know-what if you have to travel through there, but come Monday the new permanent North Mesa entrance ramp to I-10 West will be open. If you’ve driven the area lately you’ve seen the amazing transformation. It’s both spacious and capacious.

Anyhoo, you know the drill by now; leave earlier than usual, use an alternate route, blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada.
