After 23 Years, This TX News Anchor BidS Farewell To Embark on a Bold New Journey

After more than two decades of being a trusted voice in El Paso’s homes, KVIA-TV’S Stephanie Valle is stepping into an entirely new chapter of her career. 

Known for her dedication to journalism and her ability to tell compelling stories, Stephanie’s next role will see her trading the anchor desk for a position focused on making a direct impact in the community she loves.

Stephanie’s final day at KVIA-TV was January 3rd. She said farewell to the viewers during the 10 pm evening newscast.

Holding back tears she thanked former bosses, co-workers, and her family and friends, some of whom were there in the studio to wish her farewell in person.

What’s Next For Stephanie?!

Many people questioned where Stephanie was off to next and whether she would be staying in El Paso and all their questions were answered Sunday evening.

Stephanie announced her next career move in a video shared to her social media accounts. In the video she said that she will be joining James Montoya’s office as a Project Administrator. 

What Will Stephanie Be Working On:

In her new role, Stephanie will oversee existing grants that fund essential programs such as the prosecution of domestic violence cases and Uber rides to prevent DWIs. Additionally, she will manage public information releases and requests.

Reflecting on her new position, Stephanie shared:

"I’m really excited to be a part of an office that is working to prosecute crime and help our community. As someone who has reported on the criminal justice system, I can tell you that what victims and their families want most is transparency and accountability. That’s what James Montoya ran on. And that’s what I hope to support in my role in the office."

 

While viewers will miss her presence on the evening newscasts I am certain that we will still be seeing Stephanie on our TV screens, just in a different manner!

Stephanie’s dedication to her community and passion for storytelling will undoubtedly serve her well in this new chapter.
