El Paso Police say seven people were hurt in a four-vehicle crash and it all might have been caused by a dog who jumped off the back of pickup truck. The crash happened around 8 a.m. Saturday morning on I-10 West near Raynolds Street exit ramp. Several people called 911 and said a dog was hit by a car after it had jumped out of a truck.

A Sun Metro bus, a semi-truck, and two other vehicles were all involved in the crash. Seven people were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

It's still not known if the dog really was the cause of the crash, but a press release from EPPD said motorists should "avoid transporting animals on the back of a truck, but when this is not possible, place the animal in a crate and secure the crate to the vehicle."
