40 of the Best Songs El Pasoans Love Because of a Show or Movie

Metallica's "Master of Puppets" is seeing quite the resurgence ever since the second part of "Stranger Things Vol. 4" was released. Same thing goes for Kate Bush's "Running up that Hill (Deal with God)".

Metallica themselves have embraced the popularity and have come out to say that they welcome all the new fans, and that there's no gatekeeping in the Metallica family. Which is great. I love that there's a whole new generation of fans now all thanks to "Stranger Things" and Eddie Munson's awesome tribute to "Master of Puppets".

I know for sure that this isn't the first time that a song has become popular due to a show, or a movie. Our friends over at Loudwire compiled a list of songs that gained popularity all due to a TV show or movie. The top contenders were:

• "Where Is My Mind",  Pixies:  Used in "Fight Club"
• "Bohemian Rhapsody",  Queen:  Used in "Wayne's World"
• "Old Time Rock & Roll",  Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band:  Used in "Risky Business"
• "In Your Eyes",  Peter Gabriel:  Used in "Say Anything"
• "Something in the Way",  Nirvana:  Used in "The Batman", you know the recent one with Robert Pattinson

Because of this list coming out, I decided to ask our Facebook followers what songs they discovered, and fell in love with, all because of a TV show or a movie and I was blown away by all the responses! I even jotted some down that I had never heard of!

Out of all those comments, here are 40 of the responses (some were repeats).

A lot of Batman movies and obviously some Quentin Tarantino had to make the list!

A lot of my favorites made the list, but there is one song that no one metnioned that is my current favorite: it comes from "What We Do in the Shadows", both the movie and show, and it's the theme song. It's called "You're Dead" by Norma Tenega.
