3 Ways to Help Others in El Paso During The COVID 19 Pandemic
The novel coronavirus has affected everyone across the planet – here are three ways to help our El Paso community.
So many people have been struggling due to the COVID 19 pandemic, people have lost their jobs and can’t put food on the table or are not able to provide for their pets, or have been stricken with the virus and lost loved ones. Here are three local causes that need help getting through this outbreak.
Gonzalez Family GoFund Me Pages:
One family in El Paso is facing the unimaginable as each family member has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and its patriarch, Eddie Gonzalez has now passed away from the deadly virus.
Two GoFundMe pages have been set up to help the family in need during this precarious time – one by Mr. Gonzalez’s El Paso Angels Softball team and the other by a family friend. According to the GoFundMe page. The family is faced with the grief and loss of their loved one but also are facing the loss of income and are currently financially in need. The family needs help with funeral costs, household utilities, car, and insurance payments, food, and medical costs as the family continues their road to recovery.

People all over the world are struggling but with food banks such as El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank is helping local families put food on the table as the need for food assistance to grow in the coming weeks and months.
Human Society
The Humane Society has also launched the COVID-19 Relief Fund to support animal shelters, rescue groups and other organizations that are responding to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak, providing veterinary care, pet food, horse feed, and animal care supplies, as well as other costs related to caring for animals during this crisis.
