Ok, I know Don Johnson was the hottest thing on tv in the 80's because of Miami Vice, but he also did other stuff, like this miniseries, 'The Long Hot Summer'.  The 80's were the heyday of miniseries, and this was one hot one!

Back in the day, Disney made movies that are now considered children's classics, but were really made for adults who had to drag along the brats to the movies with them.  That's why Bambi's mom dies and no apologies are made about it.  It's also why I love, love, love 'The Sound of Music' with today's birthday boy, Christopher Plummer!

One of my favorite movies of all time doesn't come from the 1930's, 40's, or even 50's, it's from 200 , and it's called 'Love Actually'.  It has an all-star English cast, although you probably know most of the faces and names, including Hugh Grant at his best!  But the funniest scene in the movie involves birthday boy, Bill Nighy.

One of my favorite movies of all time is Starman. It came out the year I graduated from Burges - yes, they had high schools that long ago! It was 1984, and I fell in love with Jeff Bridges!

One of my and my son's favorite movies of all times is 'Bedazzled' with Brendan Frasier and Elizabeth Hurley.  She plays the devil, and he plays the sap who falls for her schtick.  It's also got one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen in a movie!

Yesterday, I said Happy Birthday to birthday hottie Timothy Hutton.  Today, it's Robert De Niro's turn!

One of the celebs celebrating a birthday today is Martin Sheen, birth name Ramon Antonio Gerard Estevez.  He has had an amazing career, and heads an acting dynasty that includes his sons Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez.  But I love him best when he's being President Josiah Bartlett in the 'West Wing'!
