Mike’s the Stupid News: Man Shoots Girlfriend, Thought She Was a Hog

A Florida man shot his girlfriend on Saturday while out hunting with her. That's bad enough, but the reason he shot her is even worse: he claims he thought she was a HOG!!!

Yeah, dude, I don’t think it’s going to make it any better when you explain you mistook her for a pig.

52-year-old Steve Egan of Brandon, Florida and girlfriend Lisa Simmons were out camping and hunting in the woods Saturday. Unbeknownst to Steve, Lisa left their blind ,and went into the woods to gather a few oranges that grow wild in the woods.

That’s when Steve heard something moving in the bushes, thought she was a hog, and shot her in the legs with his .30-caliber rifle. Simmons was hospitalized, and is in serious condition after surgery. Steve isn't facing any criminal charges; only a life sentence of eternal relationship problems.
