Mike and Tricia’s 2013 Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive Is Underway

It’s time to get those school supplies together to donate! The 16th annual Mike and Tricia Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive is officially gets underway. As the new school year draws closer, many children in our area will lack the supplies they need to enter the classroom ready to learn. Hi, we’re Mike and Tricia, and with your help we can give these children the necessary resources to succeed via our annual Stuff the Bus School Supplies Drive.

From now through Friday, August 16, the 93.1 KISS-FM van and the Region 19 school bus will be parked at the following locations between 7 – 9 a.m serving as a drop off point for your back to school donations:

Monday August 12 – Walmart parking lot on Dyer
Tuesday August 13 – Wal Mart parking lot on Joe Battle
Wednesday August 14 – Walgreens parking lot on Geronimo and I-10 West
Thursday August 15 – Office Depot parking lot at Bassett Place
Friday August 16 – L & J's Cafe, 3622 E Missouri (Live Mike and Tricia Broadcast)

This year we’ve also added the following afternoon drop off times and locations:

Monday - Walgreen’s – 5900 N. Mesa 1p-3p
Tuesday - Walgreen’s – 1210 Wedgewood 5p-7p
Wednesday - Walgreen’s – 12390 Edgemere 5p-7p
Thursday - Walgreen’s – 8050 N. Mesa 1p-3p

As far as what type of school supplies we're looking for, we like to target the basics such as pencils, pens, crayons, markers, loose-leaf paper, spiral notebooks, folders, and glue sticks or bottles - - but by all means give what you can . All the school supplies collected will be donated to the Price’s Creameries Give ‘Em Five Program for distribution.
