Interview: ‘Real Housewives’ Slade Smiley on Gretchen Rossi, Reality TV & His Least Favorite OC Housewife

Slade Smiley rose to fame in seasons one and two of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” as cast member Jo De La Rosa’s fiancee.
He returned to the franchise in season 5 , this time dating ‘housewife’ Gretchen Rossi , whose fiancee Jeff Beitzel had died of leukemia after the conclusion of the fourth season.
In Part One of our conversation with Slade we find out that things aren’t exactly hunky-dory between him and the ex, how he and Gretchen came to be, and that Slade Smiley is indeed his real name:
