Hollywood Dirt: Rihanna’s ‘Man Down’ Sparks Controversy

RIHANNA is catching some heat over her video for “Man Down”, in which Rihanna guns down a man who assaulted and possibly raped her. The Parents Television Council says it sends the message to kids that killing someone is an acceptable form of revenge, and that's not the kind of message a role model such as her should be putting out. Well them was fighting words to Rihanna, who took to Twitter to respond.

First she wrote, “I'm a 23 year old rockstar with NO KIDS! What's up with everybody wantin me to be a parent? I'm just a girl, I can only be your/our voice!” Then later tweeted“The music industry isn't exactly Parents R Us! We have the freedom to make art, LET US! Its your job to make sure they dont turn out like US.” Wow! That's pretty deep for a woman who once sang about an umbrella-ella-ella!!!
