Happy Chinese New Year! The Year of the Dragon starts today, so try not to write Year of the Rabbit on your checks. Hi-Yo! Anyway, like western astrology, in Chinese Astrology every birth sign has a particular character and qualities, and those born under that sign are believed to take on the character and qualities of the animal after which the year is named. So if you were born in 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, or 2000 this is what you’re supposedly all about:

  • Your way or the highway: Sometimes controlling and rarely asking for help, those born in the year of the dragon are often highly motivated and successful, but sometimes difficult, often needing to have the last word.
  • Center of attention: Often larger than life and well liked, they thrive in the spotlight.
  • Loyal: Once they decide to make a relationship commitment they are completely devoted and can be blind to the faults of their loved ones.
  • Fearless: They are the first to dive in to anything and are always confident that they will succeed.
