Great Moments in Broadcasting: New TV News Anchor’s First Words On-Air are Swear Words [VIDEO]
The new news anchor for the NBC affiliate in Bismarck, North Dakota chose the worst possible words to begin his very first broadcast. Mainly because they were swear words! The newscast apparently went live before A.J. Clemente was ready because he was clearing heard saying “Gay. F***ing s**t” into his live microphone, leaving his co-anchor visibly rattled.
Following the broadcast, Clemente tweeted: ‘That couldn’t have gone any worse!’ Sadly, things did get worse. A.J. has been suspended until “the situation [gets resolved].” In his defense, Clemente insists he did not say the word ‘gay’ …
I just want to say that I did not say the word gay, I was trying to pronounce the London Marathon winners name Tsegaye Kebede.
