Fake Kidnapping Leads to Arrest After Man Won’t Pay $100 Ransom – Mike’s the Stupid News

GIRLFRIEND NOT WORTH ONE HUNDRED BUCKS: 21-year-old Sarah Zombori of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida decided Saturday she was going to squeeze some money out of her boyfriend, so she and her 57-year-old friend, Joseph Battista, staged her kidnapping.  Joseph called Sarah’s boyfriend, told him that he’d kidnapped Sarah, and said that he’d kill her unless he came up with a $100 ransom. Sarah’s boyfriend thought about it and decided, nah, she wasn’t worth parting with a Benji.

Cops later traced the call back to Joseph’s home and found Sarah and Joseph there. Despite their insistence that it was all a joke, both were arrested on several felony counts.
