An El Paso woman went on Craigslist to find the owner of a dog that was supposedly roaming her neighborhood, but the photo she posted of the "dog" isn't really a dog.

The ad reads:

"My husband and I have seen this dog roaming our streets and finally caught it yesterday. It doesn't have any tags and we think he may have been abused because he's extremely aggressive and tried to bite my husband. Please help us find the owner as we are getting nervous being around him and we have kids."

If you're thinking, 'that's clearly a coyote, it's gotta be a joke from some Internet troll because no one can be that stupid,' then you'd be correct. About it being a prank. We are definitely surrounded by all kinds of stupid -- but that's a topic for another day.

A Google image search revealed the photo is from an October 2009 Daily Mail article about a coyote that survived an eight-hour trip embedded in a car bumper. It's been used as a "found dog ad" in one form or another over the years.
