Who is 2017’s Real Sexiest Man Alive?

Blake Shelton has received a ton of heat after being named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2017. I’m sure a lot of ladies including Gwen Stefani are content with People Magazine’s selection but a ton of memes & gifs were born mocking People Magazine’s choice. One media outlet edited the photo of the magazine cover to say “Blake Shelton IS ALIVE” instead of saying “is sexiest man alive.” I thought it would be fun to ask my friends for their thoughts on the decision and 1 out of 10 thought Blake deserved the honor of Sexiest Man Alive! We had a laugh and I took notes to share with you who my friends thought would be a better choice and maybe someone at People Magazine will see this and take notes for next year!

My friends’ selections included Idris Elba as a top choice, Jason Momoa had quite a few votes which was a shocker to me just because I don’t know too much about him, Maluma appeared in the votes a few times, AROD, Chris & Liam Hemsworth, Milo Ventimiglia, James Franco and Avan Jogia!

While I feel like they are all great choices, don’t you think that the winner consists of pop-culture relevance? For instance, Maluma is a great looking guy and will probably win the honor in latin america, his crossover into the American market isn’t complete. My vote goes to Idris Elba! Ventimiglia is peaking right now thanks to This Is Us but any guy that is a contender or rumored to play the first Black James Bond is a smooth operator in my book!
