Here are all the locations to recycle that Thanksgiving cooking oil and grease.

After that scrumptious Thanksgiving meal not only are you dealing with leftovers but you’re also probably wondering what to do with that extra grease and cooking oil.

The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department is asking that residents recycle their used cooking oil and grease from their Thanksgiving meals.

Disposing of this grease and oil correctly matters because dumping it in the trash may cause spills onto streets creating a safety hazard for El Paso drivers. Also, avoid draining the oil into sink drains because this could clog pipes.

El Paso residents are encouraged to dispose of cooking oil and grease by dropping it off at any Citizen Collection Stations at the following locations:

  • 3510 Confederate in Far East El Paso
  • 1034 Pendale in East El Paso
  • 4501 Hondo Pass in Northeast El Paso
  • 2492 Harrison in Central El Paso
  • 121 Atlantic in West El Paso

All Citizen Collection Stations reopened today, December 2, 2019, after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Residents taking cooking oil and grease will not need to provide a water bill and matching identification and they will only accept cooking oil and grease in household quantities and not from business or commercial customers.
