CHICK CHAT - WHEN TO GET RID OF CERTAIN BEAUTY PRODUCTS: It can be painful to throw away a make-up bottle that isn't completely finished, but make-up - like other products -  has a shelf life.  And expired cosmetics can be a breeding ground for bacteria and can cause health issues.

Here's what In Style magazine's beauty experts recommend:

· Nail Polish -- should be tossed after 1 year
· Mascara -- only lasts 3 months. Bacteria on the brush can cause eye infections!
· Perfume -- although it's not dangerous to use after 2 years the scent begins to break down at that point.

· Face cream in a jar -- 6 to 9 months because of bacteria our fingers introduce to the product. Pump face cream can last up to 1 year.
