When El Paso-Area Schools Let Out for Winter Break

'Tis almost the season when El Paso schools shut down for a long winter's nap, leaving parents to find ways to keep their kids busy and out of trouble for at least 2 weeks.

93.1 KISS-FM checked district calendars to find out when kids get turned loose for the holidays and found most students will begin their Christmas vacation when school lets out on Friday, Dec. 20.

The majority of students will drive their parents nuts with cries of "I'm bored," and "there's nothing to do" through the first weekend of the new year as most don't have their first school day of 2019 until January 7 or 8. "Only two-and-a-half weeks? I wish winter break was longer," said no parent ever.
