Viva! El Paso Looking For Dancers Singers & Actors For ’22 Season

Viva! El Paso will be seeking new actors, singers, dancers for the new summer season of 2022.

Calling all actors, singers, and dancers – Viva! This year, El Paso is seeking new talent during its open auditions on April 23 at the Hotel Paso Del Norte in the heart of downtown El Paso.

Viva! El Paso, an El Paso tradition, returns for its 44th year this summer with performances scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays, beginning July 1 through August 6, at McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre.

But before the show officially hits the stage, the team is scouting local talent to star in Viva! El Paso to celebrate more than 400 years of local history.

What To Know Before You Tryout:

Everyone auditioning will have to sing, dance, and cold read. Auditions are open to performers 16 years of age or older living in the El Paso region, and there is no fee to audition.

ACTORS/SINGERS

• Actors will perform a short monologue of their choice
• Singers should prepare a song and bring music (sheet music, flash drive, or cellphone recording are acceptable); accompaniment will also be provided.

DANCERS

• Dancers should wear comfortable clothing and shoes for movement
• Choreography will be taught at the auditions
• Attendees should bring bottled water and a snack (or lunch) for the tryouts.

REQUIREMENTS

• Photo ID
• Social Security card
• Portrait-style headshot
• Resume of past performance/production work, including school information and work history.

Auditions are open to performers 16 years of age or older living in the El Paso region, and there is no fee to audition.
