University students pay a lot of money to attend classes. For books. For parking. For food. Pretty much everything.

As a University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Alumni, I know the pain of spending all that money on a great education and wanting any perks possible. For those who may enjoy sports, free tickets to multiple games is a pretty nice perk.

For those who want nothing to do with sports, you should still take advantage of these tickets.

Maybe you don't care for football, but you should care for the community. The family feel of being part of The University of Texas at El Paso is something to embrace. I really wasn't involved with the school but having spent plenty of money on it, I will always cheer for UTEP.

When big games come up for any UTEP team, I am ready to cheer them on. The El Paso community should be too.

Coming up on November 6th at 8:15 pm, the UTEP Miners will be taking on the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners at the Sun Bowl. This UTSA team is coming into our town, almost looking just like us in the uniform department and we need to show up to scare them.

The UTEP Football team just released a promo to motivate the community to show up for them and bring the noise to this game. I have heard on interviews featuring UTEP Football players live on air with our partner station's SportTalk host Steve Kaplowitz, explaining just how much crowd noise makes a difference in the game. So it is going to be needed.

If this promo video hasn't hyped you up, watch it again and remember how beautiful it is when El Pasoans come together to support each other.
