UTEP Celebrating 1966 NCAA Basketball Championship With Free Screening Of "Glory Road"

As part of the 50^th anniversary of the 1966 NCAA championship victory of Texas Western College, UTEP is inviting the El Paso community to a free screening of the 2006 film “Glory Road” on Friday, April 8^th at the Plaza Theatre in downtown El Paso.

Glory Road stars Josh Lucas portraying Don Haskins who led the first all-black starting line-up for a college basketball team to the NCAA national championship back in 1966.

Tickets can be picked up at the Plaza Theatre box office in advance. Box office hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and while the screening is free, a ticket will be required for entry to the movie.
