Unique Floating Water Park a Short Drive from El Paso is Perfect End of Summer Road Trip
Ruidoso is already among the favorite nearby spots for El Pasoans to cool off from the desert heat, but did you know it is also home to a unique water attraction?
Nearby Grindstone Lake has a colorful, floating water park and obstacle course that not only looks like super cool fun, it’s super cooling as well.
Wibit Water Park
Wibit Water Park at Grindstone Lake is an inflatable platform made up of giant slides, towers, trampolines, ramps, and wiggle bridges.
Adventurous kids of all ages can bounce, slide, climb, jump and splash in the water.
Wibit, in case you’re wondering, is the name of the company that created the hydro-playground concept and is considered “the global market leader of inflatable water products.”
What to Know If You Plan to Go
The water attraction is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through August 6. After that, weekends only until Labor Day, September 4.
Entry fee is $20.00 per person for all-day access; life jacket (required) included.
There is no time limit unless the number of people exceeds the maximum number of people allowed. Then 45-minute rotations are employed to accommodate everyone until number drops below max.
Grindstone Lake parking fee is $10 per vehicle. If you want more details, you can do a deep-dive (pun totally intended) at THIS LINK.
