Time-Lapse Video Shows Moment Wild Wind Storm Arrives to Hammer El Paso
This wind storm time-lapse will blow you away. Pun totally intended.
El Paso winds are no joke. When storm strength winds roll in chances are it is going to get dusty up in here. That’s what happens when you live in a sand box.
Typically winds strong enough to whip up a dust storm or sand storm or wind storm or however you want to refer to it as don’t happen until March or April, but we got a preview of springtime winds Wednesday (2/16/22). Actually, it was more like Windsday, wouldn’t you say?
Not only were the winds fierce enough to send unsecured trampolines and above ground pools flying, down powerlines, snap utility poles in two, and cause a few power outages across the city, the gusty springtime-like winds kicked up so much dust it temporarily erased the Franklin Mountains from our view.
