These Are The Best Winter Soups In El Paso
Get cozy warm with any of these delicious and hearty soups found all over El Paso.
El Paso’s cold weather has been pretty tame until now. Yesterday, the temperature began to drop, bringing a cold front that ushered in some rain and snow flurries.
Cooler temperatures are on the way as we’re expecting the first freeze of the year in mid-November, that according to Meteorologist Chuck DeBroder’s freeze forecast.
As winter settles in, it’s the perfect time for a steaming bowl of delight with anyone one of these local winter soups.
Find the best Clam Chowder, Caldo de Res, Pho, or Albondiga (meatball) soups at the following El Paso restaurants:
Magic Bistro
Magic Bistro offers a variety of soups and makes each one from scratch. The best, in my opinion, has to be their Lobster Bisque, just add a piece of crusty bread, and you’re good to go.
Pelican’s Steak & Seafood
The only place to find fresh clam chowder in El Paso is at Pelican’s Steak & Seafood. This savory and creamy soup is made daily from scratch and tastes so much better when eaten out of their bread bowls.
La Chimenea
This hidden gem is located next to the radio station, and for the last couple of years has been my go-to for Caldo de Res. La Chimenea is so good, you’ll be going back for seconds.
Pho Tre Bien
Hands down, the best Pho can be found at Pho Tre Bien – The family-owned restaurants have been serving up authentic dishes for decades in El Paso.
L&J Café
L&J Cafe - The old place by the graveyard has one of the best Albondiga (meatball) soups around. It might also add that their Chicken Tortilla soup is also legit, made with freshly fried tortilla strips and all.
If you're on the hunt for some great winter soups, warm-up with any one of these hearty soups, all while supporting local this season.
