The UTEP Area Needs A Target – I Have The Perfect Solution
I don't live on the west side but if I lived around the area of the west side where the KISS FM studios are I would be pretty upset. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice part of town with an Albertson's near UTEP. There is a Starbucks within walking distance of Kern Place, and of course, there is the Cincinnati Entertainment district in case you want to party your face off. There is just one thing missing and I find it really hard to believe that no one has thought of it.
WHERE THE HECK IS THE TARGET AROUND HERE?
I live on the east side so I can go to the Target at Bassett on my way home, but people in the Kern Place area of Mesa have to either go east to that Target or jump on the freeway to get to the Target on Sunland Park. I can't believe that there isn't a Target in the Kern Place area. I mean, do the Target people not know that they are missing out on a prime Target audience?
THE PERFECT SOLUTION
I have the perfect solution to the Target-less Kern Place situation. Put it in the old Life Care Center near Mesita school. Right now that building is being used as a COVID testing site, but it is perfect for a Target. There is an existing building, tons of parking, easy off and on of Mesa, and a built in Target target population. I mean, come on, it's Kern Place. You know those women live at Target and they have to travel to get there. UTEP students will flock there as well. Come on Target, put a store in our area of Mesa. We need our Target fix.
