The countdown to the Super Bowl is here and while most are excited for the actual game, I’m ready to snack on some of my favorite Super bowl dishes! 

My personal favorite Super bowl dishes are any type of dip and of course delicious jalapeno poppers.

Dips are the reigning champs in 26 states, and buffalo chicken dip is the undisputed heavyweight champion, dominating 8 of them. (I LOVE DIPS!!)

Jalapeño poppers and pigs in blankets? They're up on the list as “Good” dishes to take to your next Super bowl party.

White chicken chili and chocolate-covered strawberries? They're making a low-key entrance to the snack scene.

State-by-State Snack Shenanigans:

Buffalo chicken dip steals the show in eight states, from California to Georgia. Pretzel dip is the second most-searched food, hogging the limelight in seven states, including the Lone Star State.

Appetizers are the cool kids in 10 states, with pigs in a blanket being the favorite for Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Indiana. 

Jalapeno poppers bring the heat in Idaho, Michigan, and Utah, while nachos claim the throne in New York and Massachusetts.

White chicken chili rules North Dakota, lasagna takes the crown in Mississippi, and ham and cheese sliders reign supreme in Wisconsin and Arkansas.

For  Alaska and Rhode Island, banana bread is a favorite, interesting choice. West Virginia gets romantic with chocolate-covered strawberries, and Connecticut sweetens the deal with sugar cookies.
