Texas Woman Forces Son to Walk Interstate 45 as Punishment

We’ve heard of some parents getting so angry at their children that they might make a snide comment about them playing in traffic, but this is the first time we’ve heard of a parent actually making their child do it.

Texas police say they arrested a woman earlier today after she made her 10-year-old son get out of her vehicle and walk along a busy freeway as punishment for something he said during an argument.

According to reports, 34-year-old Angela Graciela Garcia pulled over onto the shoulder of Interstate 45, made her son get out, and told him to walk home. Police discovered the boy on the Gulf Freeway where he had been walking for approximately 15 minutes.

Garcia was charged with abandoning and endangering a child, and is now being held on a $7,500 bond. Her son was released to the custody of his father.
