Texas Man Wins $1 Million Scratch-Off, Second Win In Less Than a Year
Can someone really be this lucky?
Texas lottery officials say that an Arlington man won $1 million from a scratch-off ticket earlier this week, which oddly enough, is his second big win in less than a year.
A man by the name of T.W. Smith walked into the lottery claim center on Tuesday and slapped down a $1 million winning ticket, just nine months after winning $1,000 from a scratch-off.
Officials from the Texas Lottery Commission says that Smith is the first person to ever win the big prize of $1 million from the 20X Cash game, which costs $20 per ticket.
Interestingly, Smith says that even though he is $1 million richer, he still plans to continue playing scratch-off tickets. “I’m at the store right now trying to scratch-off another win,” he reportedly told the Texas Lottery Commission during a phone interview.
