Party like an animal at the El Paso Zoo’s 9th annual Party for the Planet is part of the largest combined Earth Day event in North America and where families can celebrate and discover how they can take action to help protect and enjoy our planet while having some fun!

Our male African lion, Xerxes, is leaving the El Paso Zoo this Thursday, March 6. The lion is being moved to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. Xerxes will be on display until Tuesday, March 4 at the El Paso Zoo.

This week the El Paso Zoo is taking huge steps to help save orangutans and other wildlife. The zoo is launching a smart phone application which will help consumers decipher products and groceries containing  Palm Oil. This oil is killing orangutans, elephants and other species by destroying their tropical rainforest habitat...

A generous donation from local philanthropists Alejandra and Paul Foster will allow the El Paso Zoo to fund construction of two exciting new additions.

To honor military families this weekend as a part of Armed Forces Day on May 18th, the El Paso Zoo is offering discounted admission to active duty, reserve and veteran military members all weekend.

It’s a party…

As part of spring break enrichment at the El Paso Zoo, zookeepers have stuffed dozens of treats into pinatas for the animals to open. Luckily for us, they took lots of photos, too! Watch these beautiful animals have a blast opening their spring break presents.
