While the basis of floating the river is pretty simple, get a tube, grab some friends, and start floating, there are some important things to keep in mind that not everyone thinks about.

Any large amount of water can be dangerous, especially if it's moving. The Rio Grande in El Paso just took its dangerous side up a notch.

The mighty Rio Grande is not so "grande" in El Paso. Swimming and fishing? Not so much. Hiking though, now you're talking.
