After a week of deep-fried food, pig races, and carnival midway rides, the final days of El Paso's first ever Sun City Fair are approaching.

When late Sunday evening rolls around, the Ferris wheel will stop spinning, the cotton candy machines will be turned off, and Ascarate Park will go back to being an under-used commodity.

But before that, we have one last weekend of fair food and live entertainment beginning with classic rockers Steppenwolf.

Best known for the late '60s Top 10 hits Born to Be Wild, and Magic Carpet Ride, Steppenwolf will perform Friday night at 7 p.m. Saturday, the fair goes country with John Michael Montgomery, while tropical dance music rules Sunday with Apache Nueva Imagen.

In addition to the music line-up, you and the kids can watch a free-flight traveling bird show, see escape artist Lady Houdini, pet the animals in the children's petting zoo, and check out many other attractions.
