Styx to Rock the Abraham in December
From rockin’ the Paradise to rockin’ the Abraham. Veteran rock band Styx is on the road and making a stop in El Paso on Sunday, December 15, at the Abraham Chavez Theatre.
The hits filled evening will include many of the ‘70s and ‘80s radio singles that have become rock classics like “Lady,” “Come Sail Away,” “Fooling Yourself,” “Too Much Time on My Hands,” “Renegade" as well as a few tracks from their most recent studio album "The Mission." And, yes, they plan to do “Mr. Roboto.”
Although founding member Dennis DeYoung is no longer with them (they parted ways in 1999), Tommy Shaw, James “J.Y.” Young, and Chuck Panozzo -- considered the group's core musicians – are still jamming together.
Even the new guys aren’t really all that new. The current line-up of Styx has been working together for over 15 years.
Tickets are on sale now at the usual Ticketmaster locations and online at Ticketmaster.com.
If you don't think you need this in your life, you're fooling yourself. Ha!, see what I did there? Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go stock up on Bic lighters for the inevitable encore.
