Spongebob Squarepants is Starring in a Halloween Special

Everyone's favorite sponge is getting a much needed traditional television Halloween special!

Spooky things are coming to Bikini Bottom as Spongebob Squarepants and friends get ready for Halloween. This Friday the 13th, Spongebob is going to be staring in The Legend of Boo-kini Bottom. As Halloween approaches, the legendary Flying Dutchman returns to Bikini Bottom to make sure the town is completely scared. Unfortunately, Spongebob makes it hard for the Dutchman, since he laughs at scary things.

My favorite thing about Spongebob episodes has to be the music that the creators come up with. For this Halloween special, a new song "The Scare Song" will be featured and showcasing the ghoulish talent of the Flying Dutchman's crew.

Growing up with the traditional Christmas special of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, it warms my heart to see the Sponge I grew up with is getting in on the stop-motion action. This isn't the first stop-motion special episode for Spongebob Squarepants, since he originally had a Christmas special back in 2012.
