It’s Official: Halloween Season Has Begun in El Paso
Some people will say Halloween season started the second the fireworks smoke cleared on July 4th. Others insist you can’t think about pumpkins until there’s a chill in the air. Both are wrong, because the real start of spooky season is when Spirit Halloween rises from the ashes of abandoned retail stores like some kind of polyester phoenix. And guess what, El Paso? That day is today.
That’s right, TWO Spirit Halloween locations open in El Paso today, and several more will be following soon. Whether you’re a “go all out” decorator or just in it for the animatronic zombies that cost more than your first car, it’s officially time to start planning.
Spirit Halloween EP Montana
Reopening today at 11 AM inside the former Planet Fitness, this is your new one-stop shop for plastic scythes and questionable animatronics. Located at 5000 Montana Avenue, G 26, El Paso, TX 79903, this store is only 3.6 miles away from your inevitable bad decision to buy a fog machine.
Spirit Halloween EP Vista Hills
Also reopening today at 11 AM, this one’s in the former Goodwill at 1840 Lee Trevino Drive, El Paso, TX 79936. You could technically start your day here, then hit the Montana location and compare the selection like some sort of Halloween sommelier.
Coming Soon: Spirit Halloween EP Bassett
Opening later this month, this store will take over the former Rue 21 at 6101 Gateway Boulevard West, El Paso, TX 79925. Translation: you’ll get your creepy baby dolls and fake blood fix while also being dangerously close to the food court.
Coming Soon: Spirit Halloween EP Solana
Also opening in August, this store will be at 750 Sunland Park Drive, El Paso, TX 79912, in the former Conn’s. I think we can all agree it’s a major upgrade from appliances to animatronics that scream when you walk by.
Coming Soon: Spirit Halloween EP Wedgewood
Last but not least, this location opens in August next to At Home at 1220 Wedgewood Drive, El Paso, TX 79925. You’ll be able to shop for both Halloween and home décor in one trip, which feels dangerously efficient.
El Paso, it’s time. Dig out last year’s half-melted candles, find that fog machine you swore you’d fix, and embrace the fact that from now until November 1st, every shopping trip could end with you buying a 12-foot skeleton.
Spooky season has officially begun.
