UPDATE: The production team with La Reina Que Quiero Ser sent out a statement announcing that the auditions for the project La Reina Que Quiero Ser, originally scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, at The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso, have been canceled.
Due to changes in the production schedule, we are no longer moving forward with this casting event.
No further details have been provided and social media posts promoting the film have been deleted from the productions intagram page.

“La Reina Que Quiero Ser” Is A Film From A Local Selena Fan
Set in March 1995, the film follows Miguel, a young boy navigating grief after the loss of his idol Selena, while learning to embrace who he truly is through his mother’s love and the healing power of music. It’s emotional. It’s cultural. And it is probably going to make us ugly cry throughout the whole movie!
