El Paso Parks and Recreation is hosting an Independence Day celebration at San Jacinto Plaza this Sunday, July 3.

The free Fourth of July Festival will feature live music from The Strangers Band, and the 1st Armored Division Band, as well as various games and activities – all free.

In addition to the recreation and entertainment, the Plaza Splash Pad will be operational.

You’re welcomed to bring lawn chairs and blankets. You can even take your well-behaved doggie to the festival, as the Plaza is a dog-leash friendly park. What you cannot bring is alcohol or glass bottled beverages.
