46-year-old Ruben Montes of Las Cruces was arrested on Tuesday for suspicion of DWI after causing a crash. It's the eighth time he's been arrested for DWI.

Montes allegedly slammed his pickup truck into another vehicle. He then attempted to reverse his vehicle, apparently to leave the scene, but his bumper was stuck to the other truck. Police then realized Montes was driving on a suspended license and had disabled the device on his car that requires sober breath to enable the vehicle.

To top it all off, Montes initially claimed he wasn't injured, but they complained about a leg injury when asked to complete a field sobriety test.

Montes was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center on a $1,000 bond. He posted bail within three hours of booking, hopefully not driving himself home.
