Adults 50 + can begin to register for the El Paso Senior Games offering a variety of competitive sporting events through May 2020.

Thanks to the Parks and Recreation Department, United Healthcare and Urgent Care Home Health Inc., the El Paso Senior Games are now open for anyone who wants to participate and compete in the games.

Since 1982, the El Paso Senior Games began with the purpose to promote healthy lifestyles for adults 50 and over via fitness and sport.

The games are scheduled for late February through May and offer a variety of competitive sporting events and games including:

  • Team basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Bowling
  • Race walking
  • Tennis
  • Swimming
  • Track and field

Registration is now open with a $15 fee, which includes two events and an official Senior Games T-shirt ($5 extra for each additional event). Participants can pay $45 which includes the cost for all of the Senior Games competitive events. An awards banquet is scheduled on May 14, 2020, at the Wellington Chew Senior Center at 4430 Maxwell Ave.
