At around 7am on September 23rd, an outage on a power pole cut the electricity to Townsquare Media El Paso and the 3 sister stations went silent. KISS FM, KLAQ, and 600ESPN are all completely down. The Townsquare Media El Paso building is without power. Could it be an attack from a rival radio station? Could it be a bird that landed on the wrong power line? Is it the spirits of El Paso shutting Townsquare Media down???

While the lights are off, the DJ's from the various stations came together and did everything from relocating a giant spider to watching Fraser together. Nico and Joanna huddled up in front of a laptop screen while Buzz charged his phone in the air conditioned comfort of his car.

Iris & Grizz ran around outside, recording ridiculous rainy day content that wound up being unusable because Iris forgot to turn on her microphones. We roamed the hallways together with a flashlight, talking about the ghosts we've seen and trading stories about former DJs who passed.

We all made the best of it by helping Iris clean out her car. Unfortunately, when our engineer Michael J got to the studio, we were informed that the generator was overheating so we had no way to come back on.

The issue was far more dire than we thought. So we grabbed some snacks, poured a cup of cold coffee, and did our best to stay safe in the dark...haunted halls of Townsquare Media.

OOooOoooOOOooH!!!

Fingers crossed we are back on soon!!

Will this be the end of KISS FM?? KLAQ?? Is this the last broadcast for 600ESPN???

Tune int to find out.
