If you're looking for a fall related activity to do with the kids and you don't mind taking a little drive, head over to Ramirez Pecan Farm in Clint for an afternoon of Halloween pumpkin decorating.

On Saturday and Sunday, October 12 -13, and the following weekend, October 19 - 20, the family-owned, family-run pecan farm will be the place to be for aspiring artists of all ages who want to hand paint and festively decorate the ubiquitous fall gourds.

According to the event post, the farm will be selling pumpkins from a local farmer "at a reasonable price" and paint kits to decorate your pumpkin for a small fee.

After everyone gets done getting into the spirit of the season, let them burn off some of the energy they seem to have an abundance of playing games like checkers and Jenga, and taking part in free activities they'll have set up around the orchard. For more information on the pumpkin decorating event, visit the Ramirez Pecan Farm Facebook page.
