El Paso is known as a safe city, but that doesn't mean that there isn't crime in our city. Case in point - a really scary and violent carjacking that happened to a woman in a Central El Paso neighborhood.

Police say they got called to the 1200 block of Marr Street near Clifton Street around 3:40 in the morning on Memorial Day. A female victim told investigators she was leaving a party and as she was walking to her vehicle, a 2019 Ford Fiesta, she was approached by a man who brandished a knife. The victim told the police that the man demanded the keys to her car and her cell phone. She said after she complied with his demands, the suspect jumped in her car and took off. He was last seen in the victim's car heading southbound on Marr Street toward Montana Ave.

According to police, the suspect is described as a Hispanic male who spoke only Spanish. The victim said he was wearing a dark colored mask, a dark sweatshirt, and black pants. The vehicle the man allegedly carjacked is a gray, 4-door 2019 Ford Fiesta. The vehicle has Texas license plates, KTP4736.
