We know just how passionate El Pasoans have felt in rushing to stores to stock up on items. We know because we also have to go into those stores. I witness a woman plead her case as to why she needed to cases of eggs. A cop had to allow her to take them, as he continued to tell everyone "one carton per customer." The problem with everyone rushing at one time is that this is causing a shortage for those who also need supplies and can't either get to them in time or afford them now.

Walmart has changed their hours to accommodate not only shoppers but employees as their new hours will begin at 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. They will continue to have a limit on some items such as "paper products, milk, eggs, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, water, diapers, wipes, formula, and baby food."

The Auto Centers will also be temporarily shut down so that those workers can help out with stocking. The vision centers will remain open for customers but with possibly just one employee, so that the others may help stock the store.

Things are serious and you should take them seriously, but with common sense. Again, if you can shop locally please do so.
