New Movie Releases — ‘Lawless,’ ‘The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure’ and ‘The Possession’

You won’t have to wait until Friday for two of the three new movies bowing this week — in fact, you can go ahead and line up for tickets right now.

In the 1930s-set ‘Lawless,’ which opens Wednesday, a trio of bootlegging brothers becomes embroiled in a war with a sadistic Chicago lawman who tries to shut them down.

Another Wednesday premiere, the kid-friendly ‘The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure,’ features the namesake family trying to throw a secret surprise party that derails when five magical balloons go missing.

And horror-flick ‘The Possession’ is the story of a couple whose daughter buys an antique box at a yard sale, and later learn it was built to house an evil spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.
