E.P. Eats: New Brunch Spot Another Broken Egg Café to Open on West Side
The vacant property that once housed a Village Inn is turning into El Paso’s newest trendy brunch spot.
Another Broken Egg will be taking over the building at Sunland Park and Mesa in West El Paso that has sat empty since 2018 when Village Inn moved a block down the street by Peter Piper Pizza at the Mesa Street-Balboa Road intersection.
What is Another Broken Egg?
Another Broken Egg Cafe is an upscale breakfast, brunch, and lunch franchise.
The restaurant offers a Southern-inspired menu that includes an elevated take on traditional brunch fares such as chicken and waffles, French toast, and omelettes as well as hand-crafted cocktails, mimosas, and a full bar.
It’s a daytime-only concept meaning it won’t be open past 2 p.m. on any day of the week.
Change of Plans
Another Broken Egg’s entry into the El Paso brunch market was first announced in July of 2022 and the first location was supposed to debut in early 2023 at a planned mixed-use development down the street from Cielo Vista Mall on the corner of I-10 and Airway.
The project, which was to include retail shops, restaurants, office space, apartments and two hotels, has never materialized and the land remains empty.
When Does it Open?
The new brunch spot is expected to open by year's end. The west side location will be the first of three El Paso locations.
