Netflix Gives Us First Look at Selena Series Actress in Teaser Clip

It's official. Netflix has chosen Walking Dead actress Christian Serratos to play beloved Tejano music legend Selena in its upcoming drama Selena: The Series.

The streaming service dropped a one-minute video teaser Tuesday (Nov. 12) showing Serratos getting into character and looking over the script while Como la Flor plays in the background.

Serratos is then shown walking to the set wearing a purple jumpsuit then singing into a mic in all her red nails and red lipstick glory before a voice is heard off-stage saying "Alright, Christian. We're ready to shoot."

Serratos posted the same teaser to her Instagram with the caption, "Here we go!!! Besitos."

Part one will premiere in 2020 and will reportedly consist of six one hour-long episodes.An exact air-date has not been announced.
