Movies by the Lake Concludes with Halloween Fun, ‘Hotel Transylvania’

Movies by the Lake comes to an end this Friday, October 28, with another free Halloween-themed movie screening.

This time around, the county will be showing the kid-friendly flick Hotel Transylvania.

The animated comedy-fantasy about Count Dracula and his hotel features the voices of Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, and Fran Descher will be shown on an inflatable screen set up near the waterfront across from the pavilion beginning at approximately 8 p.m.

Make the night a little more festive and show up in costume. The county will be hosting a costume contest and giving away prizes about an hour before the movie starts. In addition, photo opportunities with The El Paso Ghostbusters will be available.

Not only can you enjoy a movie under the stars, you can dine alfresco as well. Off the Grill BBQ, Moshibox, El Jefe Mobile Taqueria, and Kona Ice are among the food trucks that will be on site serving up their specialties. However you’re more than welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages — just no alcohol. Blankets and lawn chairs are permitted.

It's going to get a little chilly after the sun sets so you’ll want to bring a sweater or light jacket too.
